To create an environment that promotes discovery and participation. A space that was uniquely designed for the hubbers to collaborate, communicate, work and interact. It was very important to GitHub to not have furniture that felt “corporate” in any sense, instead have a space that made them comfortable to come to everyday.

The theme of sourcing products from all over the world was woven into each vignette enabling bespoke expression—as a testament to that, we worked with a local artisan to design and build custom hammocks engineered with weight sensors technology to tell room schedulers which were occupied outside of the room. The idea was to integrate function and design in every piece.
